Serenity View Lodge is a unique experience. It is a "bed and breakfast" style lodge and retreat facility. We are located 10 miles south of Ozark, MO between Springfield and Branson. SVL is situated on 32 acres of secluded hills and valleys in the picturesque Ozark Mountains and near Mark Twain National Forest.
The mission of Serenity View Lodge is to be an instrument of God to provide a quality experience to nurture the spiritual, emotional and social lives of the visitors in the southwest Missouri area. We minister to individuals, families, churches and other Christian organizations through the use of recreation, education, relationships, involvement with creation and Biblical instruction with application to life experiences. The purpose of our ministry is to bring about Christ centered changes in the lives of people.

Our rooms are named after some of the plays written by Joseph and we have used some of the memorabilia from the plays in the room decor. The TV's do not receive "main stream" television, but there is a large video/dvd collection you can choose from. Both rooms have access to the hot tub. 
Come and refresh with us. You can hike some of Joseph's trails or you can just sit on a swing or relax in a hammock and listen to the sounds of nature if you like. A library is available for your reading pleasure or research, as it also has extensive biblical resourses.
We currently have 2 rooms available:
The Healing City Room. Accommodations include - Queen bed, sitting area, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, tv/vcr, this room is handicapped "friendly" and has a private bath with a large roll in shower. There is a private porch with swing and a hammock.

The Amazing Grace Room - includes antique full bed (with stairs), sitting area with couch, desk, fridge, tv/vcr/dvd, coffee maker, private bath with a large garden tub/shower.
Our fees: since we are a ministry, we do not charge a set rate for our rooms. They are available on a donation basis to the public.(suggested donation is $90 per night) It is our desire that if you work in full time ministry, we want to offer you a room for two nights during the week for free (Mon-Thursday Nights). We are called to minister to those in ministry. Breakfast is included in your stay and is served at 8:30 am. If you have special needs please let us know as we are here to serve you.

Ask us about hosting special occasions, such as intimate weddings or anniversary parties. As an ordained pastor, Joseph is able to perform wedding ceremonies. There is no waiting period for a marriage license in Christian County, MO. Plan an elopement today!

Policies
Our fees: since we are a ministry, we do not charge a set rate for our rooms. They are available on a donation basis to the public.(suggested donation is $90 per night) It is our desire that if you work in full time ministry, we want to offer you a room for two nights during the week for free.
We will accept Visa, MasterCard, Cash and Checks. A credit card or $50 deposit is required to hold a reservation and a $50 donation will be charged for a no-show.
Reservations are required and are transferable.
Smoking is permitted on the back deck only. No alcohol will be served or provided by SVL.
For the safety of our guests no hunting .
Check in is 3-6 p.m. Later by appointment.
Check out is 12 noon, unless other arrangements are made.
Although we have outside pets ourselves we are not equipped to care for your pets. We can recommend a great kennel nearby. (exception: service animals)
The View toward the Future
With the completion of Phase 2 we will be able to accommodate overnight guests in two guest rooms and small groups for day retreats up to 10 people.
Once Phase 3 is complete: The winding drive will reveal your first glimpse of the lodge. Nearly 10,000 sq. ft. of stone and log, this lodge will pamper you from the first moment you arrive until you depart. (see Phase 3 for photos of the model built to 1/4 scale and shows what it will look like)
All rooms will be oversized with private baths. Some rooms have connecting doors so they may be used as two room suites. Each room is decorated in their own unique style. Five rooms will have porches. Three rooms are to be handicapped accessible.
There will be several rooms for common use of the guests that include the main living area, dining room, library, game room, meeting room and craft room. The wide verandas and decks provide extra space for guests to enjoy the wonders of creation.
Meals are served family style in the large dining room overlooking a scenic valley.
Come and relax on one of the porches. Swing in the porch swings, or curl up with a book in a hammock. Snuggle up to a cozy fire in front of one of the 3 large stone fireplaces.
With the completion of Phase 3, Serenity View Lodge will host pastors in need of some recuperative time free of charge. We will offer a School of Ministry with various certificate programs available. Serenity View Lodge will host Church retreats and offer counseling services by a licensed professional Christian counselor.
SEE PHASE 3- with this completed we will be able to accommdate up to an additional 28 overnight guests and 50+ for day retreats or special events such as banquets or weddings.
