MID-AMERICA BIBLE INSTITUTE

Preaching the Kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ... (Acts 28:31)

Purpose: The Goal of Mid-America Bible Institute is to train the people of today’s church to a greater knowledge of God’s Word, the proper interpretation of God’s Word, and most importantly, a viable application of God’s Word. A greater knowledge of God’s Word, the Bible, produces greater confidence in the Christian walk; proper interpretation brings greater authority in the Christian walk; and a viable application brings greater wisdom in following God’s design for our Christian walk.

Program: Mid-America Bible Institute (MBI) is a three year educational program originally developed by Liberty University. The curriculum is divided into three subjects: Theology, Old Testament, and New Testament.

Process: MBI meets one night per week (Tuesday), two semesters per year. Each semester is 16 weeks in length, closely following the traditional school calendar. No classes are held during the summer. Each class is approximately 45 minutes in length. Because all subjects are taught the same night, one after the other, the student has the opportunity to take one, two, or all three classes per semester. In six semesters, or three years, the student will graduate with a Bible diploma or degree. If the graduate desires, application may then be made for transfer credit options to Liberty University. Other Bible schools and Universities may accept transfer credit from MBI. Please check with your intended school as policies differ between schools concerning transfer credit.

Elective classes are required in 4 out of 6 semesters for a student to receive an Associate of Applied Christian Ministries Degree, when taken in conjuction with the core curriculum. Each 16 week semester will add one of the following classes:

Introduction to Greek

Missionary Legacies

Romans

Personal Evangelism

Homiletics

Introduction to Church Ministry

Ministry Internship (not held during scheduled time but in cooperation with a ministry)

Price: MBI desires that any student of God’s Word be able to attend classes with minimal expense. Partial and complete scholarships may be available. Please inquire for more details.

STATEMENT OF BELIEF

1. We believe in one God, existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. We believe the Bible, the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the infallible Word of God, the only true rule of faith and practice.

3. We believe that man was created by God in the image of Himself, but that man sinned and incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.

4. We believe that Jesus Christ, existing eternally with the Father, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true man and true God.

5. We believe Jesus Christ died on a cross for our sins. He is a representative and substitution for us and He is a complete sacrifice. All who believe in Him and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and receive grace, forgiveness and eternal life. They become children of God and are joint heirs with Jesus.

6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven and in His present life there for us as Advocate and High Priest.

7. We believe that if the Lord tarries it is appointed unto man to die one physical death and then the judgment.

8. We believe in the second imminent coming of our Savior Jesus Christ, both visible and personal to establish His Kingdom on Earth. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust.

9. We believe the Lord has given to His church a great commission to evangelize the world and to disciple believers.
